Glassedge Ltd was approached by K42 Gym Birmingham to install a new glass entrance featuring a bespoke design tailored to the client’s specific requirements.
The project involved creating a seamless and functional entrance that balanced aesthetic appeal with practical features.
Bespoke Design with Functional Features
The client requested a large push plate on the door panel, aligned perfectly with the side screen panel, and the incorporation of a letter plate. To meet these needs, Glassedge installed a Type A glass door fitted with anti-pinch hardware to ensure safety and ease of use.
Structural Support and Precision Engineering
We supplied and installed a bespoke self-supporting girder section with brackets to securely hold the side screen panel. The entrance also included a 13.52mm thick fan light glass panel at the top, complete with a custom-fitted fan light support to accommodate the glass’s size and weight.

Safe Handling of Large Glass Panels
Due to the heavy and large nature of the fan light glass, Glassedge Ltd collaborated with Lift Minicrane Hire Ltd to safely lift and position the panel during installation, ensuring precision and safety throughout the process.
